The board of directors for the Foundation consists of an Executive Board, Advisory Board and General Board Members.

Executive Board

Andres Rossetto Soto
Chairperson

Andres Rossetto was born in Mexico City. After completing his studies in Mexico he attended the Lausanne Hotel School in Switzerland and then, at Cornell University, he completed his postgraduate studies. Upon returning to Mexico he embarked on a very successful 30 year plus career in Hotel Management culminating as CEO of the Camino Real chain of Hotels in Mexico. In 1993 he joined DINE as Executive Vice President and was involved in some of the most important residential and commercial projects in Mexico City. In 2000 he became the CEO of the Tourism Sector of the DINE and is in charge of projects including Punta Iztapa, Punta Mita and Punta Gorda.

John Youden
Co-Vice Chairperson

John is the publisher of the Vallarta Lifestyles Publishing Group. He has been an owner/resident in the Punta de Mita area for the past seven years and a resident of Puerto Vallarta since 1988. John introduced a Powerpoint Presentation in early 2007, which caught the attention of Grupo DINE as well as many residents in the area who also were concerned about the Punta de Mita and the surrounding communities. Both he and his company have been active for years supporting NPOs in the Vallarta region.

Greg Stanton
Co-Vice Chairperson

Greg Stanton was born in Mexico City of American parents and educated between Mexico and the USA making him truly bilingual and bicultural. He returned to Mexico 15 years ago when he accepted a position as Latin America Sales Manager for a Global leader in Beverage Paperboard Packaging. Tired of Traveling and having become a family man, Greg and his family moved to the Vallarta region 6 years ago. Prior to joining DINE he had been very active in the local real estate industry. In Nov. of 2006, Greg joined DINE as the Director of Operations and Resident Services at Punta Mita.

Ricardo Trueba
Treasurer

Ricardo is head of the Punta Mita Master HOA and has being developing this position for the past six years. He has a degree in industrial engineering specializing in services. He has being trusted with managing funds his entire professional career. He and his newly formed family are developing strong ties to the area and are thankful for the opportunities found here.

Molly Fisher
Secretary

Molly is an accomplished educator and philanthropist who has been living in Mexico since 1999. She has dedicated herself fully to identifying appropriate and sustainable programs to serve the needs of local communities. As the founding director of a non-profit organization known as PEACE, Molly’s efforts have been focused predominantly on education, animal welfare, and the environment. Molly currently resides in Bucerias with her husband and many rescued animals.

Erica Lynn Martling
Executive Director

Erica Lynn Martling, grew up bilingual in a Mexican-American family, spending time between Guadalajara, Mexico and Boulder, Colorado.  She came to the Punta de Mita Foundation already familiar with the Bahia de Banderas area after having taught at the Colegio Americano in 2003.  She has a B.A. Magna Cum Laude from Middlebury College in International Relations and a M.A. from Johns Hopkins University, SAIS in International Development and Environmental Policy.  She loves the outdoors, ocean and mountains. She has traveled all over Latin America doing community development and grassroots non-profit work. She is excited to be back in Mexico and ethusiastic about her work ahead as Executive Director.

Advisory Board

An advisory board, which will meet less frequently, will be more of an honorary position for certain people in the region that can add to the Foundation through their experience and/or connections.

Peter Newton

Peter is semi-retired Canadian, who lives in Punta de Mita part of the year. He is the Founder/President of Champion Chemtech Limited, a specialty chemical manufacturer with plants in Europe, Asia, and North America and with distribution in over 100 countries. His volunteer experience in the developing world includes 16 years with Sleeping Children Around the World [SCAW]. Some of which were as part of the Advisory Committee. He has considerable experience working with Rotary Clubs in countries such as Bangladesh and India. He currently is Chair of the Get Ahead committee of the Leacock Foundation, where he heads up steer/monitor infrastructure projects at for Get Ahead schools in the Eastern Cape Province of Republic of South Africa.

Richard Kiy

Richard Kiy is President & CEO of the San Diego based International Community Foundation (ICF), a public charity dedicated to expanding charitable giving internationally. Since taking over the helm of ICF in 2001, ICF has grown to over $9.5 million in assets and has made granted totaling over $18 million to nonprofit organizations and other charitable causes in the regions that it serves with an empahsis in Mexico. Kiy serves on the Board of San Diego Grantmakers, the U.S.-Mexico Border Philanthropy Partnership and is a member of the Board of Overseers for the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). Kiy is a former board member of Fundacion Internacional de la Comunidaad, Baja California’s first community foundation.

Juan Carlos Yamin

Juan Calos Yamin graduated from the "Tec De Monterrey" where he was the president of the Business Class Student Body.  He was the founder and CEO of "Sistemas de Entrega", a shipping company with 500+ employees and offices in ten different states around Mexico.  He then  moved to become the founder of SEMU and PVR-2000, two luxury real estate development companies that are active in the Vallarta and Bahia de Banderas regions including Punta Mita.  He is currently President and CEO of Semu, serves on boards and committees within the community and is a part-time resident of Punta Mita.
